PORTRAITS
It is quite a common opinion, that painting is the reflection of the real world. Meanwhile, one should say it is derived from it, brought to existence by it. This real, visible world of the portrayed person owes everything to them - but it is not the reflection. The idea of reflection assumes a finite fidelity.
In portrayed people, one can notice different feelings. Everything depends on a short moment when the portrayed person is being immortalized on a flat surface. The atmosphere, emotional background, personal sentiment, are all captured by the moment. All that can be observed and immortalized.
Whilst admiring the portrait, we are becoming witnesses of an adventure, an amazing, intellectual, creative one. The outcomes of it can lead us to a more personal perspective of the portrayed person.
