Anna Pawęzowska
I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Katowice branch in Environment Shaping of Visual Communication. I am a qualified artist, portraitist, illustrator and designer. Art is not only my job but also my greatest passion. I have been a creator since I was a child, and I have been honing my skills throughout my life. I got a distinction from Drawing and Painting in Prof. Jan Dubiel class. Between 1991 and 1993 I cooperated with a range of polygraphic companies (Poligrafia “kula”, Studio DTP, Videogral, Ozis, Hankopol), designing calendars, logos, labels and book illustrations.
I worked as an interior designer from 1991 to 1997. I designed and developed public spaces and display areas for the biggest retail clothing companies in Katowice, like Margaret Astor, Levis, Wrangler, Boss, Big Star, Miraculum, Skarbek, N&S, MajaGold, Viva.
“Dziennik Zachodni” newspaper recognised my work in interior design for shop displays as “the most interesting in Katowice history”. I also made an extensive interview for that newspaper in 1992. Pictures of my work were highly recognised during an art show in the Silesian Museum in Katowice. The topic of the art show was the development of advertisement in Silesian history.
With great success, I also realized myself as an interior designer of public spaces, like shops, pubs and restaurants for N&S and others. During this period I started a partnership with Smithers Oasis Poland as a Head of Floristic Design presenting my work at numerous events all over Poland.
Between 1997 and 2000 I started cooperating with Silesian Public Libraries. I run a gallery for them and a painting workshop. The whole time I was also consumed by the easel, sacred and pastel painting.
I am an inventor and holder for a patented, unique “stained glass” decor called “Vojtral”. I had a few individual art shows in Poland in Katowice, Żory, Piekary Śląskie as well as some abroad organised by the Ministry of National Heritage. My work is displayed in many galleries across Poland, around Europe (in Germany, UK, France and Italy) and in the USA.
